Situational Analysis and Baseline Assessment for the Nhaka Foundation project in Zimbabwe, titled Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Children Aged 3-12 Years in Seke and Goromonzi Districts (2024-2025). The assignment included conceptualizing the project, designing the research methodology, conducting field surveys and reporting.
Rapporteuring services for UNESCO ROSA programs, including the 3rd and 5th Annual Meetings on Global Citizenship Education (GCED) and Southern Africa Liberation History (SALH). Similar services were also offered for UNESCO’s O3 Programme Trainers on the Parent-Child Communication and Let’s Talk EUP Interventions in 2022. These services involved developing news articles during and after the conferences and compiling the final workshop reports.
Feasibility study on reducing drug use in three communities—Harare, Bulawayo, and Mutare—for Childline Zimbabwe, with funding from Kindernothilfe. The study's findings informed the development of a targeted program by Childline Zimbabwe to address drug and substance abuse among youth in Zimbabwe.
Food Security and Livelihoods Expert for an IFRC (Nairobi) rapid assessment of the impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict as a crisis multiplier in Sub-Saharan Africa. The work also extended to developing the 2022 IFRC Common Narrative on the hunger crisis in Africa.
Assessment on the prevalence of child marriage in Hwange District as part of the Scaling up Child Protection in Hwange District project, and an end-of-project evaluation for the ‘Building Climate Change Resilient Communities that Safeguard Children and Youth from Vulnerability’ project, both funded by Kindernothilfe.
A baseline study and designed an M&E framework for the Securing Rights in the Context of HIV and AIDS Programme for Oxfam Canada in 2014. In 2017, UBAS conducted a baseline and follow-up survey on the Household Care study for Oxfam GB’s Women Economic Empowerment and Care Project. In the same year, UBAS reviewed and documented the Rapid Care Analysis (RCA) Methodology for Oxfam GB and in the subsequent year, developed training materials for the methodology.
Final evaluation of the Securing Girls Entitlement to Education and Protection Project in Zambia funded by Comic Relief, and final evaluation of the DFID-funded project entitled ‘Improving Public Accountability in Zambia School Bursary Schemes’. In 2016 and 2019, a UBAS consultant was a qualitative expert in an Endline Evaluation of the ‘Girls Education Challenge – Step Change Window’ project and Midline Evaluation of the ‘GEC-T Ultimate Virtuous Cycle of Girls Education’ project.
